Coffee pods for Keurig® brewers
Hold the PLASTIC
One coffee. Nothing else.
Most coffee pods are made of plastic, and when hot water is forced through them, microplastics pour into your coffee. Ours are plastic free, so all you get is a clean, delicious cup.

The research
Why we held the plastic
Most single-serve coffee pods are made of a plastic called polypropylene. Every morning your brewer pushes near-boiling water through that plastic, and it sheds microplastics straight into your coffee.1 Plastic was never meant to be food. Scientists keep finding it building up inside the human body, and they're linking it to inflammation and heart disease.
How much comes off
Hot polypropylene can release about 13 million plastic particles into a single 8 oz cup.2 Drink one pod coffee a day and that adds up to roughly 4.7 billion particles a year. By weight, that's about half a credit card of plastic every year, one cup at a time.3
Where it ends up
Plastic particles have been found in the blood of 17 of 22 healthy adult donors.4 Human brain tissue collected in 2024 held about 50% more plastic than tissue from 2016.5 In a 2024 study of people having surgery to clear their neck arteries, those whose plaque contained plastic had about 4.5 times the risk of heart attack, stroke or death over the following three years.6 That study shows an association, not that the plastic caused it.
Lab studies in mice have linked microplastics to gut inflammation and to changes in behavior and memory.7
What we did about it
We can't take plastic out of the world. We can take it out of your morning cup. Our pods have no plastic in the cup, the lid or the filter, so the hot water only touches coffee.

- Our math: 13 million particles × 365 cups ≈ 4.7 billion particles a year. Assuming an average particle about 10 microns across and polypropylene's density of 0.9 g/cm³, that's about 2.2 g of plastic a year. A credit card weighs about 5 g.
